The day stretched ahead like a marathon/sprint/obstacle course, filled with meetings/deadlines/challenges.

Lunch was a quick sandwich/salad/grab-and-go snack at my desk, followed by an afternoon of brainstorming/typing/spreadsheet wrangling. By the time five rolled around, I was ready to clock out and escape the fluorescent lights/glow/buzz. The office felt like a zoo/hive/pressure cooker all day, but at least tomorrow is another day.
